Hi there.

For many years now I’ve been creating more-or-less annual musings for the entertainment of myself and to the annoyance of friends, family, and, really, anyone else who has crossed my path. These musings are dan-o-grams. Occasionally, they have been issued in the form of verbose stories with pictures attached. More often, they have come in the form of picture postcards accompanied by glib punchlines. Generally, they are thrust upon the world in the form of New Year’s greetings.

Recently, I began a series of Stories About Furniture (SAF) (see above tabs): short pieces accompanied by images that tell the story of a furniture-person (or, furniture-animal) interaction. The stories might have been inspired by a particular piece of furniture, a picture of a piece of furniture, the idea of a piece of furniture, or the picture of an idea of a piece of furniture.

Please, have a read and let me know what you think.

Stories About Furniture is an ongoing project and I’m always searching for subject matter. So, if you have any pictures of furniture in situ that might make for a story, please send them along. While I make no guarantees concerning the propriety of any resulting material, I can assure you that it will be assiduously spell-checked. Furthermore, all names will be changed to protect the innocent–except, of course, in the cases of those convicted of upholstery abuse.
